The campus pride safe space program is a nationally recognized program that provides training and signage for institutions committed to supporting lgbtq students.

Safe space training. The emory safe space program is a 3 5 hour training designed to help all faculty staff and students provide support for the lgbt community at emory. If you wish to begin a safe space or safe zone program on your campus this course is an ideal way to get started. Safe spaces will ensure that folks are sensitive to all the nuances in our culture today as it relates to the lesbian gay bisexual transgender questioning intersex and asexual lgbtqia community. Safe space ally training aims to equip students faculty and staff with the tools for creating safe spaces and welcoming environments for lgbtq students on campus. The training is approximately 1 hour.

The goal of the safe space campaign is to identify and educate individuals who will affirm and support all people regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity expression. It is available in a face to face format through the teaching and learning center or online using the canvas platform. At baltimore city community college we regularly hold safe spaces workshops for our faculty and staff and the reviews are always glowing. The safe space basic training course is provided by the college s lgbt education program and is free to college employees. The safe space training is four hours long.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the lgbtq community resources and obtain the basics for making a difference in their sphere of influence.
