Do We Know More About Space Or The Ocean

No one has been there yet but we do know it s easier to send a person to space than it is to send them that many leagues below the ocean s surface.
Do we know more about space or the ocean. Space is infinite and there s no possible way we know as much about it right. Considering that we don t know how big space is or even if there s just one universe we can say with reasonable certainty that we probably know more about the ocean than we do about the cosmos. Space stories generally trigger the imagination. We only know a tiny bit about earth s vast oceans.
Do we know more about space or the ocean. We know very very little about most of the ocean. There were no satellites studying the oceans. For example wouldn t it be amazing to find out if life is out there versus we are overfishing so how will we feed 9 billion people by 2050.
Ocean stories are more mundane. But even with all the technology that we have today satellites buoys underwater vehicles and ship tracks we have better maps of the surface of mars and the moon than we do the bottom of the ocean. Well the answer might surprise you. Part of this could also be attributed to history.
But don t click away yet because that doesn t really get to the point at hand. Although many scientists do believe that there s much more of the universe to explore comparing 13 billion lightyears to the ocean only being seven miles deep underscores how much technology has developed for space exploration rather than ocean exploration.
